Hyundai Motor Company to Recruit New Employees and Interns in September
SEOUL, August 29, 2024 – Hyundai Motor Company has announced an extensive recruitment drive, set to run from September 1 to September 14, aimed at bolstering its workforce across multiple disciplines. This initiative underscores Hyundai’s commitment to innovation and growth as it seeks to attract top talent to drive its future mobility solutions.
Hyundai’s recruitment drive will encompass six key areas: Research and Development, Design, Production/Manufacturing, Business/Planning, Management Support, and IT, offering a total of 36 positions.
The company is targeting recent and soon-to-be graduates with bachelor’s or master’s degrees. Successful candidates will commence their roles sequentially from December, following selections announced in November.
In addition to new hires, Hyundai is also opening applications for its NextGen Intern program. This program is designed for current undergraduate and graduate students who are expected to graduate in the latter half of next year.
Interns will have the opportunity to start working from July 2025, contingent on their performance during a five-week winter vacation program.
From September 6 to September 8, Hyundai will host the ‘2024 Hyundai Job Fair’ at its new headquarters on Gangnam-daero. The event, themed ‘Journey to Hyundai Way,’ aims to facilitate meaningful interactions between prospective candidates and current employees. Highlights include:
- Team Hyundai Talk: A session where employees share insights into Hyundai’s working methods and growth trajectory.
- Job Interview Counseling: An opportunity for candidates to ask detailed questions about specific roles.
- Hyundai Way Exhibition: An open-to-all exhibition showcasing Hyundai’s operational and cultural practices.
Prospective attendees can register for the talk sessions and job counseling on Hyundai’s recruitment website from August 29 to September 2. The exhibition will be accessible without prior registration.
In a bid to attract international talent, Hyundai will also participate in a global metaverse job fair on August 30. This virtual event targets international students studying at overseas universities, reflecting Hyundai’s strategy to tap into a global talent pool.
Hyundai has been refining its recruitment processes since 2019, when it first introduced open recruitment among major corporations.
Since 2023, the company has implemented a ‘predictable open recruitment’ system, which posts new hire announcements every quarter. This approach aims to provide clarity and help applicants better anticipate recruitment periods.
A Hyundai representative emphasized, “We aim to select talent to lead mobility innovation and will actively secure individuals with the drive and integrity to practice the values of the Hyundai Way.”
